Presidential Internship in Higher Education
The Presidential Internship in Higher Education seeks a diverse cohort of students
to work with the President's staff in the following offices:
President's Office
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
Vice President for Student Affairs
Vice President for Institutional Advancement
Special Assistant to the President/Secretary to the University
The internship is a paid position* requiring:
- have an academic standing as a sophomore or junior by no later
than the end of summer semester 2007
- completion of at least one academic year as a University of Utah
student
- a minimum 3.25 cumulative University of Utah GPA
- a year-long commitment: August 2007 - May 2008
- commit to at least 12-15 hours of internship time per week
- commit to attend weekly seminars with University and community leaders
- exhibit an interest in higher education, the University of Utah,
and it's community
- interest in University-related/service-oriented work within a student
cohort
- have experience working as a member of a group in order to meet
specified goals
- be available for an in-person interview
